Timeless
“Timeless” is a series of works that reinterprets, through a contemporary visual language, protective images, figures, and symbols of journey rooted in the collective memory of Anatolia.
Throughout the collection, recurring motifs such as hands, eyes, horses, camels, animal bodies, and female figures are not merely descriptive elements; they carry ideas of protection, belonging, journey, intuition, memory, and coexistence. At times, a hand becomes a shelter surrounding the figures; at others, an animal body transforms into a shared space that carries them, while an eye becomes a silent witness, perceiving what remains unseen.
The figures depicted in the works are not portraits of specific individuals, but rather shared characters that seem to emerge from different points in time. In this sense, The Timeless refers not only to a relationship with the past, but also to the enduring emotions of protection, solidarity, migration, belonging, and moving forward together that persist across generations.
The layered nature of watercolor and ink, combined with intentionally preserved traces on the surfaces, subtle color transitions, and linear details, creates a dreamlike atmosphere rooted in memory. Drawing from the visual culture of Anatolia, these forms are not reproduced as historical references, but reinterpreted through the artist’s personal language of symbols.
Rather than nostalgically recreating the past, The “Timeless” explores what the symbols carried from the past into the present might still mean today. While each work holds its own independent narrative, the collection as a whole becomes a contemporary field of visual memory, inhabited by figures connected through invisible bonds.
Making Art More Accessible
I do not believe that art should exist only in galleries, collections, or within circles that can afford certain price points. I believe the true power of an artwork lies in its ability to reach as many people as possible and to become part of different spaces and ways of living.
For this reason, I have also made downloadable digital versions of the Zamansızlar Collection available. Alongside the original works and limited-edition prints, the collection can therefore meet art lovers in a more accessible format.
My aim is to make it possible for people with different budgets to own a work of art and to reduce the distance between art and everyday life. Once purchased, the digital files can be downloaded and printed locally, in the size and on the type of paper of the buyer’s choice.
This approach does not diminish the value of the original works or signed limited editions as collectible pieces. On the contrary, it allows the same work to reach a wider audience through different forms of access.
An original work, a limited edition, or a digital print…
What matters to me is that art becomes not something that is merely observed, but an experience that can be lived with, shared, and given personal meaning within one’s own space.
I want art to be accessible to everyone.
