
Yetkin Yağcı was born in Ankara in 1991 and developed an interest in art at an early age, growing up in a family of artists with a sculptor father. During his school years, he distinguished himself by winning several awards in painting and sculpture competitions. After graduating from the Graphic Design and Photography Department of an Anatolian Vocational High School in 2010, he completed his undergraduate studies in Visual Communication Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Gazi University, in 2013. He further advanced his academic background by earning a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Arts from the Institute of Fine Arts at Gazi University in 2019.
He began his professional career as an art director and graphic designer at advertising agencies, later elevating his experience by founding his own company. Throughout this period, he delivered numerous successful projects for both the private and public sectors. Expanding into the film industry, he started working as a director of photography. The short films, documentaries, music videos, public service announcements, and commercial projects he produced in Ankara and Istanbul have received awards at national and international film festivals and have been widely appreciated by audiences.
In addition to his work as a cinematographer, he has also taken on roles as a producer and line producer in festival films and music videos. With a strong passion for art and an interdisciplinary perspective, Yetkin Yağcı continues to produce work across graphic design, painting, sculpture, photography, and cinema, gaining recognition for projects that combine creativity with innovative solutions.
