Born on a warm summer afternoon in Cabo de Gata, Celia Montes anchors her practice at the intersection of journalism, multimedia design, and art curating. After eight years in the corporate world, she returned to a lifelong fascination with the power of words, choosing to craft her own universes through writing and photography while traversing the globe.
Following the 2020 publication of her debut book, Nacimos a un Océano de Distancia, and the youth-oriented Bollo de Higo, Montes extended her narrative reach into visual storytelling. With her first photographic exhibition, Fresh Lemonade, she translates the boundless potential of language into the evocative power of the lens, inviting viewers into the intimate worlds she captures along her journey.
